With two convenient locations in Marion and Clive, we feature a vast array of unique eyewear and high-end sunglasses from leading designers such as Gucci, Vera Wang, Italee, and Kate Spade, and an on-site laboratory in our Marion office for immediate dispensing of new prescription glasses.

Insight Vision was founded in 2000 by Drs Troy Albrecht and Doug Hand when they merged their 2 successful practices. Their common belief from the beginning was the reinvention of the typical eye exam. By combining personal care with the newest technology with the latest frame styles, they have seen Insight Vision grow every year because of our patients and their word of mouth referrals. In 2004, we opened a new office in Clive, which is a suburb of Des Moines, right in the middle of the fastest growing area in the state of Iowa. Dr Lori Digmann joined our practice in 2000 and sees patients in the Marion office, while Dr Ethan Huisman joined us with the opening the Clive office in 2004.
Insight Vision has continually been at the forefront of bringing the best technology to our markets. We were the first to introduce the Optos to both the Cedar Rapids and Des Moines areas. This revolutionary machine allows the doctors to take a picture of the back of a patients eye to screen for retinal and systemic disease without the need for dilation. Needless to say, this was a great success, which has now been followed by many other practices in the area. We also were the first to improve our patients vision with the Izon high definition lens system. This allows the talented doctors of Insight Vision to take a wavefront analysis of a patients optical system and import that eye print into their new, custom made lenses to allow for high definition vision, truly the best a person can see. These lenses help to improve glare at night and overall quality of vision.
